:: CHANGING OF PLACES ::

conference

Introduction

Sabina Baumann and Christina Della Giustina are participating in the project “Changing of places” organized by the artists group "8-mi Mart", Bulgaria.
For this project they have been working for ten days in Plovdiv and Sofia, producing a video installation. Their encounter with the cultural conditions in Bulgaria, as well as extended conversations with the members of the inviting and organizing group of women artists, has shown the need not only for an exhibition of works realized by all participating artists. But also to call into presence a basic and open discussion in Sofia regarding the issues of gender, globalization, and new technologies, issues, which doubtlessly are addressed by the project.
They extended their contribution and organized in addition to their video presentation a public forum for direct communication, called "Meeting Places”.
